■ A force on the mound and at the plate for a team that won a school-record 19 games and reached the state semifinals for the second time.

■ Led an unheralded group of players to a 15-6 record and a share of MVAL Piedmont Division championship with Urbana. “I don’t think a lot of people expected us to be on top of the league,” he said. “I couldn’t be more proud.”

■ The wins leader among Frederick County pitchers posted a 9-0 record and a 2.22 ERA. In 57 1-3 innings pitched, he struck out 36 and walked just 13.

■ The Knights, who won 10 straight games at one point, were the top seed in the Class 2A West regional and advanced to the semifinals.

■ Batted .433 with 27 RBIs and 19 runs scored as the Hawks broke school records in 11 offensive categories.

■ One of the top hitters in the county with a .507 average. He produced seven homers, seven doubles, three triples, 26 RBIs, 22 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.

■ Batted .467 with eight doubles, five homers and 24 RBIs to help the Knights earn a share of the MVAL Piedmont title and reach the semis of the regional playoffs.

■ One of the top offensive players for the top team in the county batted .406 with 28 RBIs. On the mound, he had a 6-1 record and walked fewer than 10 batters.

■ Pitched a complete game five-hitter to lead the Lions to a 7-5 victory over Middletown in the 2A West regional semifinals. Finished the season 4-0 with a 3.32 ERA.

■ One of two returning starters from the Cadets’ state-championship team batted .431 with 21 RBIs while managing a young pitching staff.

■ Batted .462 and led the county with nine home runs. He won six games on the mound and struck out 45 in 52 1-3 innings. Will continue his career at West Virginia State.

■ The top hitter in the county with a .552 average. His 37 stolen bases tied an MVAL record with teammate R.J. Smith. He scored 35 runs and drove in 24.

■ Batted .413, scored 17 runs and struck out just once to help the Titans reach the semifinals of the Class 3A West playoffs against topseeded Quince Orchard.

■ The Hawks’ top hitter who also was a steady defensive player at shortstop. He batted .440 with 31 runs scored to help Urbana reach the state semifinals for the second time.

■ One of the most dominant pitchers in the county who won seven games to tie the single-season record at Tuscarora. He also had the best ERA in the county at 1.92.

■ A dynamic all-around player who batted .455 with 16 RBIs. His 37 stolen bases tied an MVAL record with teammate Zack Krietz. He struck out 67 to lead the county and won four of his five starts with a 1.98 ERA.

■ The top pitcher for one of the top teams in the county finished 4-1 with a 2.28 ERA as the Knights produced one of the best seasons in school history.

■ One of the best pure hitters in the county who batted .508 with eight homers and 33 RBIs. He played first base and was one of the Lancers’ top defensive players.

■ A talented hitter who was equally skilled with his glove at shortstop. Batted .441 with 26 hits, including seven homers. He also drove in 24 runs and scored 21 times.

■ One of the top pitchers and hitters in the county. He struck out 16 in a regular-season game against Middletown to set the Lions’ single-game record. He finished the season with 59. He also batted .522 with 21 runs scored.
