SIZE 165cm (65in) wingspan, 75cm (29inc) deep MATERIALS Manos Del Uruguay Alegria (75% Superwash Merino / 25% Polyamide), 425m/445yds per 100g), 1 skein each colour. Shown in AL2363 Tahiti (A) and AL9089 Huarache (B) 3.75mm (US 5) needle or size to obtain tension Ring Markers Tapestry needle TENSION 19 sts by 38 rows in 10cm square in Garter Stitch (knit every row), after blocking ABBREVIATIONS Beg: beginning CO: cast on K: knit M: marker Ndl: needle Pm: place marker Rep: repeat RS: right side Slm: slip marker St(s): stitch(es) Yo: yarnover WS: wrong side
INSTRUCTIONS Section 1 With A, CO 5 sts. Set-up Row 1 (RS): K2, yo, pm, k1, pm, yo, k2. (7 sts) Set-up Row 2: Knit. Row 1: K2, yo, k to m, yo, slm, k1, slm, yo, k to last 2 sts, yo, k2. (4 sts increased) Row 2: Knit. Rep rows 1 and 2 36 times more. (155 sts) Section 2 *With B, work rows 1 and 2 once. Drop B, but do not cut it. With A, work rows 1 and 2 once. Drop A, but do not cut it.* Rep from * to * 28 times more, or until there isn’t enough A left to work 2 more rows. Cut A. Section 3 With B, work rows 1 and 2 8 times, or until there isn’t enough B left to work 2 more rows. Cast off. Finishing Weave in ends; block gently.
