Dear Ball State Baseball Alumni and Friends, Boy, what a season for our boys! There is nothing like se ng your mind on a goal and then accomplishing it! Our Cardinals finished the season at 39-18 and an amazing 22-4 conference record with 5 series sweeps. We had three boy’s dra ed into professional baseball, 5 first team All-MAC selec ons, Two First team All-Region players, two third team All-Americans, three freshmen All-Americans, The MAC Player of the Year, Freshman Player and Pitcher of the Year, and Na onal Freshman Pitcher of the Year. This group of young men was a joy to coach as they played for one another more than for themselves. They truly exemplied our mo o “You Go a Believe.”

I hope you will consider joining us for our Alumni and Friends Weekend September 13 and 14. On Saturday the 13th we are going to tailgate at noon before our football team takes on Indiana State at 3:00 p.m. Our players will be receiving their rings on the field at halfme of the football game. Special moment! On Sunday, September 14th we are having our annual golf ou ng star ng at 9:30 a.m. at The Player’s Club. The strength of our program lies in the love our alumni and friends share for Ball State. I hope you can join us and invite others to support our program. With the help of many we can do great things.

On another front, it is so exci ng to see tractors tearing up our field to prep for ar ficial turf and new dugouts. A dream come true for those of us who love Ball State Baseball. Thanks to those who were so gracious to make this happen. We s ll have a long way to go as we will need to raise money for phase two. This will include the grandstand, press box, pavement, and an ornamental fence but our momentum is building thanks to the help of many. Lastly, we will return a hungry young team hoping to take Ball State to the NCAA Tournament. Our future is bright!
