amaysim Guide Mobile Internet Settings for Windows 7 This guide will help you set up your mobile with a Windows 7 Operating System so you can connect to the internet. You may need your mobile user manual. If you don’t have a copy, you can find it online. Search manufacturer’s name, model of your handset & user manual (eg. HTC HD7 user guide). As there are several manufacturers of mobiles running these operating systems there may be some small differences with buttons or menus in the instructions that follow. We’ve come up with the basic steps required to get you up and running with the internet.
What do we mean by ‘tap’ and ‘push’? ‘Tap’ means using your touch screen. ‘Push’ means pushing the hard buttons on your phone. What is APN? APN stands for Access Point Name. Setting up the APN on your handset will let you access the internet using your mobile phone.

2. The set-up program should have selected the country as Australia and the network as Yes Optus. If this is NOT the case, make these two selections 3. Tap the Tick option at the bottom of the screen. Then tap Done. You should be set up for internet and MMS

you will need to have an active Wi-Fi service or your previous SIM card (if it’s still connected to your previous provider). Please follow these steps:

(either Wi-Fi or your previous providers 3G service), please follow these steps: 1. First you will need to access the Marketplace found on your home screen 2. If Marketplace is not on your home screen, tap the right arrow towards the top right of the screen and then tap Marketplace 3. Then tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen and type in Connection setup 4. Tap install this program 5. Tap the right arrow towards the top right of the screen and then tap Connection set-up 6. The set-up program should have selected the country as Australia and the network as yes Optus. If this is NOT the case, make these two selections 7. Due to a limitation in the Windows Phone 7 Operating System you can’t set up MMS manually. If the connection set-up doesn’t work, then you will not be able to use MMS on these Windows 7 devices
