GAUGE Gauge is not critical for this project.

INSTRUCTIONS SHAWL Row 1: Ch 7 (counts as tr, ch 2); (7 tr, ch 2, tr) in 7th ch from hook, turn.

Place a marker in the 4th (center) tr of the 7-tr group. Move marker up as work progresses. Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as tr here and throughout), 3 tr in first tr, ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, tr in next 3 tr, (tr, ch 2, tr, ch 2, tr) in next (marked) tr, tr in next 3 tr, ch 2, sk next 2 ch, 4 tr in 4th ch of turning ch, turn. Row 3: Ch 6 (counts as tr, ch 2 here and throughout), tr in first 4 tr, *ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, tr in next 4 tr; repeat from * to ch-2 sp before marked tr, ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, 7 tr in marked tr, **ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, tr in next 4 tr; repeat from ** across, working last tr in top of turning ch, ch 2, tr again in top of turning ch, turn. Row 4: Ch 4, 3 tr in first tr, *ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, tr in next 4 tr; rep from * across to ch-2 sp before center 7-dc group (containing marked tr), ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, tr in next 3 tr, (tr, ch 2, tr, ch 2, tr) in marked tr, tr in next 3 tr, **ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, tr in next 4 tr; repeat from ** across to last ch-2 sp, ch 2, sk next 2 ch, 4 tr in 4th ch of turning ch, turn. Rows 5-16: Repeat Rows 3 and 4 six times. Row 17: Repeat Row 3. Row 18: Ch 1, sc in first tr, *ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, sc in next 4 tr; repeat from * across to center 7-tr group, sc in next 3 tr, 3 sc in marked tr, sc in next 3 tr, **ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, sc in next 4 tr; repeat from ** across to last turning ch, ch 2, sk next 2 ch, sc in 4th ch of turning ch.. Fasten off. FINISHING Using yarn needle, weave in all ends. Wet block lightly, if desired.
