Professional women’s tennis is coming to Maui as the U.S. Fed Cup Team will face Germany in the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group First Round taking place at the Royal Lahaina Resort February 11-12. If you are a tennis fan and looking for a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes at this incredible event we may have an opening for you on our Fed Cup Maui Ballperson Team. To receive consideration you must be available on both match days Saturday, February 11 & Sunday, February 12. Matches are tentatively scheduled to start at 11:00am on Saturday (2 singles matches) and 10:00am on Sunday (2 singles matches followed by 1 doubles match). Experience is a plus but not mandatory. 14 years of age or older is preferred (as of February 11, 2017). All interested ballpersons may be asked to participate in a tryout on a TBD date(s) prior to selection to the Ballperson Team. The 18 individuals selected should be prepared to participate in periodic practice sessions prior to the match days (schedule TBD). All ballpersons will receive a uniform consisting of a shirt, shorts, hat, shoes and socks. Food and beverages will be provided on the match days. All ballpersons must complete a Fed Cup Maui Ballperson Application which will be made available upon selection to the Ballperson Team. Fed Cup by BNP Paribas will bring tennis fans of all ages from around the world to Maui to experience the passion of Fed Cup competition. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the excitement!
