The programme gives students an opportunity to compete at the local speech and drama Eisteddfod and also to prepare performances at the theatre for family and friends. Anna has also been proactive in her other teaching area, Religious Education: Year 11 Study of Religion = excursion with a Kalkadoon elder to various sacred and meeting sites around Mount Isa so they could understand the rituals that happened in those locations and the importance of land to the local Indigenous people. Year 12 Study of Religion = students to travelled to Townsville to meet with representatives of religions other than Christianity so that they could better understand how different Sacred Texts affect the lives of believers for their ethnographic report. As a teacher, Anna strives to make a difference in the lives of the students she teaches, looking to give them opportunities to extend themselves, find out something new about the community they live in, or simply be able to learn through a variety of experiences.
