The Flu Bug Cold and flu season is in full swing. Here are some things you and your child can do to make sure you child stays healthy and happy: Wash Hands. Kids are always touching things and putting their hands in their mouths. Be sure to teach good hand washing to avoid getting germs from the things they touch. Keep hands out of mouth, eyes, and nose. Germs love to get into the body through these doorways. It is very easy for a germ to go from a finger to a nose or eye in seconds. Get plenty of sleep. The National Sleep Foundation gives these suggestions: 1-3yrs= 12-14 hours; 3-5yrs= 11-13; 5-10yrs = 10-11 hours; 10-17yrs= 8.5-9.5 hours; Adults= 7-9 hours. Keep sick kids home. If a child’s immune system is compromised, introducing more germs isn’t a good idea. Be sure your child is totally well before coming back to daycare.
REMINDERS! Another joy of the winter season is runny noses, coughs, and medicine. Remember that medication of any kind can only be administered when a Medication Release Form is filled out. These forms are valid for one week only and will not be kept for “as needed” purposes, unless special arrangements are made with the office. Give all medicine to staff upon arrival. NO MEDICINE SHOULD BE LEFT IN A CHILD’S BAG. The medicine is kept in a lock box and will be returned to you upon expiration of the medicine form. Medicine needs to be in the original container with the original label. Please be sure that your child’s name is on the medicine bottle.
Happy New Year!
Free Week Of Tuition?!
Resolution: noun “The firm decision to do or not to do something” Here are some resolutions for 2015 from some of our school agers: “I am going to my grandma’s house more” – Becca “I am going to dance more” – Bella

“No more candy” – Kalisa
4. Collect the tour credit after they tour.
“Eat more brownies!” – Chenoa

Keeping your child home? Don’t forget to give us a call! 361-7746
7. Get your free week! PLEASE
Please do not forget to sign your child in and out every day. It is necessary for our operations to have accurate count of children in the center. State accounts and our food program rely heavily on correct attendance. If you forget to clock in or out, or realize that your times are not correct, please let the office know. If someone else is picking up, or dropping off your child, remind them to check with the office to check in or out.
