Stroll through Mount Vernon’s magnificent gardens in bloom and celebrate mom with the Mother of our Country, “Martha Washington,” for a special weekend event. 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sample wines from 20 Virginia wineries while enjoying the breathtaking views from Washington’s home and live jazz on the east lawn overlooking the scenic Potomac River. 6–9 p.m.

Observe the moving naturalization ceremony, as we welcome 100 of our newest United States citizens, in partnership with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Take in the stunning views and enjoy an evening on the grounds of Washington’s estate including tours of the Mansion and gardens and specialty tastings from local microbreweries. Wine and desserts will be available for sale. 6–9 p.m.

Mount Vernon salutes our first commander in chief with a dazzling display of made-for-daytime fireworks and a naturalization ceremony for 100 new citizens. A truly inspiring day at a truly inspiring place. 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

At the Mount Vernon Historic Plant and Garden Sale, historic trees, shrubs and plants as well as a wide variety of annuals, perennials, heirloom tomatoes and herbs—each carefully nurtured in the Mount Vernon greenhouses—will be available for purchase.
