Are You a Voluntaryist ? Voluntaryists abide by the Non-Aggression Principle. Voluntaryists advocate only non-coercive and non-political strategies to achieve a free society.
a) That all human interactions should be voluntary. b) That all authority not willingly and fully agreed to after disclosure of all terms and conditions is illegitimate. The State is the primary example of illegitimate authority and must not be supported with our energies.
The vital thing for voluntaryists to do is to work toward a stateless society and not be concerned about getting there right away. This can only be done if we act now in a manner consistent with our ultimate goal. The ideal of a voluntary society without force is as much a guide to present activity as it is some future end. Voluntaryist non-compliance is much less likely to bring about tyranny and oppression in its wake because voluntaryists don’t seek power in order to reform its use. They renounce power in order to transcend it and thereby harmonize the means with the end.
