Armenia Camp Construction Update Photos July 6, 2016
July 4, 2016 – New windows and balcony doors are now installed throughout the dorm building. Entry stairs and travertine facades on the expansion are nearly complete. Travertine is being applied to the arches.
June 23, 2016 – Above windows and balcony doors are shown from the interior. Pictured on the left is the view down the hallway on the ground floor. The right picture shows the second floor hallway looking toward the lobby.
June 26, 2016 – An emergency escape stairwell shown above on the right has been constructed and is being painted a dark brown to match the window frames.
June 23, 2016 – The dorm interior finishes are moving along with tile being installed on the bedroom floors and bathrooms throughout. Bathroom toilet partition doors are being installed as well. Bedroom windows also are being completed with stone window sills.
June 26, 2016 – Rough in for low voltage and line voltage power has been completed. As you can see above fire alarm cabling, speaker cabling, security wiring and light wiring are all hanging from the ceiling. A drop ceiling including soffits is being installed in the left picture to conceal much of these services. On the right Ariel is approving one of the exterior light fixture selections. The lights are shown below installed.
June 24, 2016 – Internal Dorm plumbing for heating and domestic water lines are nearly complete. These lines are routed back to the boiler house in the concrete trench and piping pictured below.
June 23, 2016 – The Managers House is seeing noticeable change. New footings and foundation have been completed for the porch. Now reclaimed stone from the Katie’s Café site demolition is being applied to the exterior of the porch. See below.
June 23, 2016 – The interior of the Manager’s House has been scraped and gutted. A new slab for the floor has been poured. Above is a view into the kitchen from the family room. Several wall openings are being converted to windows or walls as structural improvements are currently taking place.
July 4, 2016 – The Managers House exterior stone is starting to be applied with basalt base courses.
June 24, 2016 – Bathrooms pictured on the left are also being constructed of block within the house as the original Pioneer Camp relied upon latrines located outside of buildings. Above on the right, Palos and Arman of ProfProject, our second general contractor inspects the new sewer man hole and main lines that are tied to the Manager’s House. Pictured below is the roof of the Manager’s House that is to be demolished soon.
June 2016 – Construction of the Maintenance Shop has moved forward in June with the excavation of footings and foundation walls. Concrete was poured recently with more to come as the building grows out of the ground. This will be a tremendous improvement for storage of our tools and materials.
June 26, 2016 – Demolition has been taking place to clear the site of the future Café, Game Room, Store, Infirmary, and Office which will be housed in one building.
July 4, 2016 - The existing building was not suitable for renovation. In the pictures above the site has been completely cleared.
