Around the Village from The Village Quilter The Village Quilter · 609-265-0011 · 10 Charles Street, Historic Mount Holly, NJ 08060 · Spring 2016
My name is Joyce Doenges and I would like to say hello and welcome you to the very first newsletter of our “New” Village Quilter. We are so excited to share with you our schedule of upcoming classes and events. There have been a few changes at the shop since it was closed at the beginning of March, but not so many that you won’t recognize us!! Re-opening The Village Quilter is a dream come true for me. My dream has always been to own a quilt shop and now here we are. I say ‘we’ because this dream would not have become a reality without the hard work and support of my husband Mark as well as so many friends and family members. You will notice many familiar faces at the shop, Sue, Karen, Kim, Delia, Rosemary, Kelly and Eva will continue to work, teach and provide samples for us. I am thrilled that each of them has decided to stay and I know that we were able to open on time because of their diligence. Just recently we were able to hire Betsy to join our family and many of you will recognize her from Art Club. We are thrilled that she agreed to join us. So far, our changes have been minor. We have moved the classroom out onto the “porch” to make room for larger classes and gatherings. We have moved the tall fixtures away from the barn doors giving the shop an open feeling. Additional, we’ve made the aisles wider and more easily navigated! If there is something you would like to see in the shop, let me know and we will see what we can do. I look forward to seeing you around the village! Joyce
