A Challenge to Support Cancer Connections Lee Stephenson, in Mr Rich’s Year 6 class, has been raising money for Cancer Connections. He has taken part in a 15 mile bike ride and also completed a press up challenge at Horsley Hill Boxing Club. So far he has raised an amazing

Elen Pearce, in Miss Lawson's Year 1 class, entered a competition with South Tyneside Libraries to design a coat for the Beatrix Potter character Peter Rabbit. She won with her design and her prize was the full Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit Library. Here’s Elen with her winning design and her prize.

REMINDER We still have a number of children arriving at school after the second bell rings, at 8:55am. It is really important that the children are in the yard, ready to line up when the first bell rings at 8:50am. Lessons/assemblies begin straight away. We appreciate your support in this matter.

Our football team have been in Our netball team has brilliant form, since the season been representing the resumed in February, the team have school in a league at won all of their games. Following a Temple Park Leisure great victory against Laygate, the Centre. The children team played on Wednesday night and secured the have been playing teams following results. from schools across Ashley 7 - 0 Harton (Scorers - Neary 3, Heslop 3, Todner 1) South Tyneside and Ashley 3– 1 Westoe Crown although they are still awaiting their first (Scorers—Neary 2, Heron 1) victory, their attitude and team spirit have
been fantastic. Thanks to all of the parents who have come along to support the team.
The team has 2 games left to play in May and have a chance to secure the league title. Watch this space for an update. Thanks to all of the parents who have come along to support the team, even in the rain and icy temperatures.
Sport Relief 2016 Friday 18th March On Friday 18th March, we plan to raise money for Sport Relief. We would like to invite all of the children and staff to attend school in sports clothing and they will join their classmates in a mile run (walk/stroll) around the school field. We suggest a donation of £1 from everyone participating. If the weather is unfavourable, then we will organise activities in the school hall.
