Associate Director of Admissions The Madeira School is seeking an Associate Director of Admissions to join its Admissions Office. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Associate Director serves as the primary deputy in the Admission Office and plays a vital role in recruitment, selection, and enrollment of students for the Madeira School. The Associate Director is responsible for the management of the Admission Office’s marketing plan and materials. Responsibilities: • • • • • • • • • • • • •
Participate in area recruiting events and campus wide recruitment programs; help coordinate all admission recruiting activities. Provide on-going consultation to prospective girls, applicants and their families. Represent the Madeira School at recruitment fairs and events in key markets, both domestically and internationally. Communicate respectfully with a diverse population of current and prospective students and families. Review and read applications; interview prospective students and their families; respond to applicant inquiries; and counsel prospective girls and their families regarding the admissions process, test taking strategies, curriculum, etc. Participate in strategic planning to identify ways to increase conversion and yield rates of applicants. Represent the school before alumni and other groups and serve as The Madeira School’s primary contact for admissions. Coordinate, in consultation with other members of the admission staff, all admission events on campus. Research and identifies prospective student interests, evaluates media and market trends Develop and lead the implementation of the admission-marketing plan. Manage analytics and data to ensure current impact on marketing decisions and inform school leadership in order to make timely decisions on market placements, trends and programs Assist with website maintenance, and all electronic and print communication. Assist the Director of Enrollment Management in the management of the office, including staff supervision, training, procedures, interview scheduling and major mailings.

Bachelor’s degree required; 5-7 years of experience in admissions and marketing required Superior interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills Creative thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team with exceptional initiative and judgment Strong customer-service orientation; ability to develop credibility with prospective families

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally Proficiency in basic data management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Senior Systems, PowerPoint); willingness and ability to learn additional applications as needed; experience in systems work (reports, population selection, writing of simple computer scripts) Appreciation of and commitment to boarding and/or single sex education, diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population Independent school, boarding school and/or single sex education experience preferred
