CAMP INSTRUCTION
PRICING
Coach Johnson is entering his fourth season at the helm for the Tigers. Last year he led the Tigers to the postseason and a 2nd place finish in the MIAA tournament. Prior to Fort Hays State, Johnson was the head coach at Butler Community College. In 2005, 2007, and 2010 Johnson was named Jayhawk West Conference Coach of the year. In 2006, he was named the Central District Coach of the year by the ACBA, after leading Butler to their 1st appearance in the JUCO World Series since 1994. Johnson played at Barton County and at the University of Alabama‐ Birmingham before spending five years in the St. Louis Cardinals organization as a minor league pitcher.
The Fort Hays State coaching staff will be available to assist in a variety of ways during camp as well as to provide team or individual instruction.
FHSU Team Camp will be limited to five teams for each available weekend. Camp openings will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. The cost for each team will be $500 which includes a guaranteed four games for each team.
LOCATION
Asst. Coach Kyle Stacken Coach Stacken is in his third season as an assistant coach for FHSU. Kyle joins the Tiger coaching staff after completing his four year career at FHSU. The Concordia, Kan. native was a three time All‐MIAA selection. Stacken will work primarily with hitters and position players.
Asst. Coach Andy Lewton Coach Lewton is in his second season as an assistant coach for FHSU. Andy joins the Tiger staff after completing his pitching career at FHSU. Lewton joined the Tiger pitching staff after transferring from Barton Community College. Andy will work primarily with pitchers.
Asst. Coach Kelton Rule Coach Rule is in his first season as an assistant coach for FHSU. Kelton’s playing career included four years as a member of the FHSU baseball team. Coach Rule is a native of Hays and will work primarily with hitters and position players.
Camp will be held and instructed at Larks Park located just east of Fort Hays State University at the intersection of 4th street and Oak street.
