  ASTARTE ROSSO  PLUS ACRYLIC  QUARTZ SAND WHITE POLYMER MODIFIED TILE ADHESIVE (C2TE)     

Description : 

ASTARTE Rosso, is a  high quality  reinforced white  adhesive,  based  on  high  strength  white Portland  cement  (Ι‐52.5),  quartz  aggregates   and  additives    which   provide  improved  adhesion  of    tiles   in   difficult  and  non‐absorbent  surfaces   where  a  flexible   and   strong   adhesion  is   needed.  It  is  resistant  to  humid  environments   and  to  temperature  changes  and  frost . 

 

 

Usages : 

One‐component  cementitious  adhesive,  suitable   for  fixing  of   any  kind  of   tiles   (GL  and  UGL)  on  floors  or  walls  and   on   substrates  such  as   concrete,  plasters,  cement  screed,  aerated  concrete  etc.   indoors   or  outdoors.   It  is  also  proposed  for  fixing  tiles   in  difficult  and  non‐ absorbent  surfaces  such  as mosaics,  old  ceramic   tiles,  marble,  granite  and  gypsum  boards  (according  to  the  gypsum  boards  manufacturer's  instructions).  The  special  formulation  of  the  product   increases  its  resistance to moisture and  to contractions ‐ expansions due to temperature  changes.

Safety  precautions : 

This  product  contains  cement  and  reacts  as  alkaline  with  moisture,  so  it  is  classified  as  irritant.  It  must  be  used  with  care  according  to  the  instructions  for  use.    In  order  to  avoid  any  injuries  due  to  alkalis  of  the  cement,    wear  gloves,  protective  glasses  and  avoid  breathing  the  dust.  Please    consult  the  SDS  of  the  product.

Application mode: 

 Check and prepare the application surface.   Mix with the necessary amount of water using  an electric mixer at low speed,  until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained.   Leave the mixture to mature for five to ten minutes and stir again.   Apply    ASTARTE  Rosso  adhesive    by  means  of  a  toothed  spatula,  the  size  of  which is selected according to the type of tiles and the substrate.   Tiles  should  be  placed  within  20  minutes  from  spreading  the  adhesive  and  definitely before creating crust on its surface.   The  adhesive  remains  workable  in  the  pot  for  3‐4  hours  depending  on  the  season, the temperature and humidity of the environment.   When the adhesive begins to set, then stir again without adding water. 

 

 The grouting can be done after 24 hours for floors and 12 hours for walls.    ATTENTION:   The content of  the bag  should be  protected from humidity   Not recommended for use in extreme weather conditions (frost or heatwave).  Application temperature +5oC  to +35oC    The above guidelines are indicative, for the correct use of the product. For  more   technical details please  contact the  company’s technical department.
