“Strike Out” Skin Cancer Sunscreen drive to stock the shelves for the FISH Pantry
Strike One -‐ Skin cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed types of cancer in the world? The good news is that it is also one of the most preventable types of cancer. Strike Two -‐ About 90% of non-‐melanoma skin cancer is caused by ultra-‐violet exposure. Strike Three -‐ Skin cancer and melanoma account for about 50% of all types of cancers diagnosed combined. You’re Out – Lower income families struggle for extra funds to purchase sunscreen, and many government assistance programs do not cover it.
Bring your sunscreen to the Southmont/Crawfordsville baseball game on May 16 or drop it off in the Southmont Athletic Office the week of May 13-‐17.
