This part of the headset serves no electrical purpose but is essential to the headsets structural form. This piece can easily break if stepped on or misused.

Before disassemblely check to see if you head piece is broken or your adjusters are not working correctly. The adjusters should be able to move in the indicated direction in the picture.
Step 3
The first step in dissembling the head piece is to take out the six screws marked in the pictures. repeat this for both sides of the head set.
These screws have been glued. Apply heat in order to loosen the adhesive.

Next remove the head piece form the ear pieces. make sure to separates the wire that connects the two ear pieces.
Step 5
Lastly replace or repair the broken head pieces. A repair could be as simple as gluing the broken parts. keep in mind when reinstalling to line up the adjusters correctly. make sure they function with the new parts before completely reassembling the head set.
