INTRODUCTION The speakerphone is used to talk hands-free on the phone. When this feature is not working, you may consider replacing it.

TOOLS: Pro Tech Screwdriver Set (1) Metal Spudger (1)

Step 1 — Back Panel



Remove five 9.5 mm Phillips #1 screws from the back panel of the phone.

Step 2



Slide metal spudger into the crack around the Front Panel of the phone

 Be careful not to break the clips holding the Back Panel to the Front Panel

 When setting the back panel down, be careful to not rip any of the wires off of the internal components

Step 4 — Speakerphone



Remove Front Panel as shown.

Locate Speakerphone and remove solder with soldering iron.

Step 6 

Use the soldering iron to reconnect the wires to the new speaker.

Place new speaker back in place.

 Make sure that all of the components are back in place.

Replace Back Panel as shown.

Secure the Back Panel with the same screws using the iFixit Protech Screwdriver kit J1 or PH1 bit.
