From present classification of R- 1( Single Family Residential) to T1-A( Travel Trailer/ RV Park)

I respectfully request that the Planning and Zoning Commission not grant the request for change of zoning for the above noted property for the following reasons-

Travel Trailer/ RV Parks are by their very nature designed for short term stays at vacation or resort

destinations. The City of Ingleside is not a vacation or resort destination and will never be. The City of Ingleside is rapidly becoming an industrial city.

There are currently two new apartment complexes being built in Ingleside as well as 50+ houses for sale or lease in the City of Ingleside available for people moving to the area. There is already

a

Travel Trailer/ RV Park( Tiki RV Park) located

on

12th Street behind the VFW.

When the Tiki RV Park was originally built, people in the neighborhood were told that it would be a

private park for veterans use only since it was located behind the VFW. That has not turned out to be true.

In the time since the Tiki RV Park has been there, there have been multiple instances of theft from my residence on

12th Street. I have had to replace a trolling motor and two deep cycle batteries for my gate

opener.

There is a constant pile of illegally dumped items on the undeveloped lot immediately adjacent to this Travel Trailer/ RV Park as well as a trail down the block of fish heads and broken beer bottles that appear to have been thrown from

vehicles

driving down

12th Street.

In February of this year, there was a water contamination issue that I truly believe occurred due to shoddy plumbing work at the Tiki RV Park. For two weeks my family had to take showers at a friend' s house and use bottled water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning at our residence.

The two other Travel Trailer/ RV/ Mobile Home communities in the area are the Palladin RV/ Trailer Park and the Indian Traits Trailer Park. Both of these locations are poorly maintained and do not reflect positively on the City of Ingleside.

I recently consulted a real estate agent to inquire about selling my property. The valuation did not even cover what I have invested in the property. When I enquired about the valuation given the primary reason was

the type and

condition of

neighboring

properties

I ask that you please take all of this into consideration and do not grant the request for a zoning change for this property.

I request that the planning and Zoning Corn. Not grant the request of the property to be rezoned. There is a Trailer/ RV Park already at Kenney Lane and Hwy 361 that is not maintained. There is one at Indian Trail and

There is

also one

12th Street and Hwy 361 that was

Put in with the promise that it was for retired military and vets. Which has turned out to be a lie. At the 12th

Street

and

Hwy

361 there is

piles of

trash

always put

there on the

12th Street side. These sites do

not make a very good impression to people looking to relocate to Ingleside and raise their children.

They end up lowering property values for the people that been making Ingleside their home. Ingleside Is becoming more of a Industrial City that' s fine but we should be a family first city. The City of Ingleside is spending money for Parks and Baseball fields for families to enjoy. We would rather see the City be a family city than just a temporary stop. I ask that you do not grant the zoning change and keep it as a R- 1( Single Family Residential). Si
