THE JERRY OLSZEWSKI ERA • In back-to-back seasons under Jerry Olszewski, Augustana has set the bar higher on the offensive side of the ball • The vikings set a single season record for total offense with 5,124 yards in 2014 • Olszewski’s squad raised the bar even higher in 2015 setting multiple offensive records • Augustana finished the 2015 season with 5,527 yards of total offense for a new program record • The vikings also set single season records for passing yards (3,603), points scored (494) and touchdowns (64) • After leading Augustana to a 9-2 record in NSIC play in 2015, Olszewski was named the NSIC Coach of the Year which is voted on by the league’s 16 head coaches • Olszewski led the vikings to their fourth NCAA Playoff appearance in program history in 2015, after leading th team to just its second nine-plus win season in program history • Fans have seen the development of senior quarterback Trey Heid during Olszewski’s tenure • Augustana had 15 players named All-NSIC in 2015 and five players went on to earn All-America honors • Augustana has also excelled in the classroom in the Olszewski era • Augustana had 12 players named Academic All-NSIC in his first season in 2013 and that number grew to 16 in 2014 and 20 in 2015

#30 CJ Ham Running Back

• Former Augustana running back CJ Ham was invited to the Rookie Minicamp by the Minnesota vikings on May 2 and signed as a free agent with the National Football League club on May 10 • Ham played in all four preseason games for the vikings, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns on 44 carries • He has also caught three passes for 27 yards • Ham was released by the vikings following the final preseason game but was signed to the Minnesota vikings practice squad • Ham is the fifth former Augustana viking to sign with an NFL team • Les Josephson played 10 seasons in the NFL and was a Pro Bowl selection in 1968 as a member of the Los Angeles Rams • Bryan Schwartz played five seasons for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 1991-94 after being drafted in the second round • Corbin Lacina was a sixth round draft pick by the Buffalo Bills in 1994 and played 10 seasons in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Minnesota vikings and Chicago Bears • Kevin Kaesviharn signed as a free agent with the Green Bay Packers in 2001 and spent nine years in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and the Tennessee Titans
