AYSO 498 Board Meeting Agenda August 4, 2016 @ Dublin Park Rec Center 6:30 – 8:00 PM Pilot date: 09/20/85, Charter date: 03/04/87
All, Just thinking that if we will have the board meeting tomorrow as scheduled, we also need to vote/update/adjust the fees for Indoor and Spring. I know it seems like a long time until Indoor and Spring comes around, but since the fees for theses seasons are already posted on our website, I think we need to get them adjusted as soon as possible because it'll be registration time for those seasons sooner than you think. When we decided on the fees as shown above, it didn't take into consideration that we provide uniforms for Indoor and Spring this membership year. The fee changes "only" concern those players who didn't play in the Fall (for Indoor registration) or didn't play in either Fall or Indoor (for Spring registration). The above fees take into consideration that for newly registered players for Indoor and Spring we have to pay the annual, per player $17.50 fee to AYSO National for liability insurance. We rounded it to $20 that's why it shows $45 for Indoor for players who played in the Fall and $65 for players who didn't play in the Fall. But we need to add in the uniform costs: By my calculation, the cost per uniform averages $31.24 (let's round to $30.) So I propose that we change the: - Indoor fee for players who didn't play in the Fall to a total of $95. - Spring fee for players who didn't play in either Fall or Indoor to $95. If we don't adjust the fees for those players who join us later in the membership year, the players who played Fall and then any additional season carry all the costs for example for the gym rental for Indoor. $95 seems high for both Indoor and Spring for new players in this membership year, but they get a full set of uniforms which is new this year. Even if we change it to $75 for U5-U8 (because they get the less expensive socks) and $95 for the U10 and above it is better than leave it at only $65 for new Indoor and new Spring players. We need to keep in mind, that while we are a non-profit organization, we cannot operate at a loss and give "away uniforms for free" to Indoor and Spring players who join us for those seasons only. Thanks, Ursula Grove Regional Treasurer AYSO 498 Madison, AL Page 5 of 5
