Project: (Pattern) Let It Snow Birch Creek Quilts $10.25*
Class Description: Enjoy your own little view of Christmas in nature with this beautiful wall hanging. We’re offering a kit with pre-cut fabrics and appliqué shapes so we can concentrate on straight stitch appliqué, background quilting and adding sparkle with Swarovski HotFix Crystals. If you can free-motion quilt with your machine we’ll use those techniques to quilt. If your machine won’t free-motion, or if you prefer an easier technique, we’ll do straight stitch quilting on your project. Basic Class Supplies * Sewing machine with presser foot and/or 1/4” foot * * * * * * *
and free-motion/darning foot; and walking foot(helpful, but not necessary for straight quilting). A foot that is open and easy to see your stitching is also helpful. Sewing machine needles Seam ripper Seam gauge or tape measure Sewing scissors/Paper Scissors/Thread Snips Straight Pins Teflon Pressing Sheet, if available Piecing Thread - Dark Blue
Project Supplies Let it Snow Kit*: Kit will include all the fabrics needed for the project, precut into strips and shapes so we can concentrate on sewing the background together and fuse on the design with ease. The teacher will supply Rayon embroidery thread during class so you may appliqué each object with matching thread. Batting, backing and binding included. Silver Metallic Thread*- We have Superior Glitter thread. This thread will be used for the quilting. Swarovski Hot Fix Crystals and Setter* - We used clear, green, brown and blue. (optional)
We will be glad to help you with your fabric selection and any other supplies that you might need. * There is a 15% discount on this price to students for all your class supplies and fabrics.
