Project: (Pattern) Humbug Bag sku. 102304 $9.00* Class Description: The Humbug Bag is named after the nineteenth-century English candy. And it’s a sweet little bag to make! The pattern includes 3 sizes and we’ll make a large bag in class. There will be enough fabric left over to make a small bag, too. We’ll use 2 fat quarters and use the design on the fabric to free-motion quilt the fabrics together before we make the bags. The pattern also includes quilting info and we’ll talk about various ways of quilting with a domestic sewing machine. Project Supplies Basic Class Supplies We will be doing free-motion sewing with your x x x x x x x x
Sewing machine with presser foot and/or 1/4” foot Sewing machine needles Seam ripper Seam gauge or tape measure Sewing scissors Pins Rotary cutter- either 45mm or 60mm with new blade Small scissors to cut threads
x Thread - ecru or light beige/ off white
machine, so we need to have the following items for a successful project: *Sewing machine that will do a zigzag stitch and can drop or cover the feed dogs. Be sure to bring your MANUAL if you are not familiar with your machine doing free-motion sewing. *zipper foot *free-motion/darning foot *walking foot (if you have one and have questions about it, bring it along) *regular pressure foot - zigzag foot (wide opening) The Kit will contain 2 fat quarters, batting, zipper, ribbon and bead. Pattern is separate. You just need to bring light beige thread.
We will be glad to help you with your fabric selection and any other supplies that you might need. * There is a 15% to students for all your class supplies and fabrics. To ensure that we can devote the full class time to learning and having fun, please stop in before the class date for your supplies. Looking forward to seeing you in class!
