BALLYNDENE TROPHY KIWIANA Tuesday 6 February 2018 - 9am Start Smith’s Farm, Taniwha Rd, Waerenga ENTRY FEE $35 per rider • $20 lead rein riders • $20 ground fee per horse/pony (entry fee includes a $5/head levy for ambulance cover) 8.30AM Team Sign-in and Collect Back Numbers 9.00AM Team briefing and Course Walk
10.00AM Event Starts - Lead rein riders, followed by Junior, Intermediate and Senior Divisions. (Compulsory Gear Check for all riders on entering warm up area.) THEN... Team Bending Race. (Following conclusion of Ballyndene Competition) FOLLOWED BY... Teams Parade & Prize giving
BALLYNDENE TROPHY RULES OF THE DAY • All competitors must be affiliated members of NZPCA. • The appropriate number of rallies must be attended on mount for the day as per NZPCA rally rules. • Each rider to compete over the Ballyndene course - consisting of a mix of cross country, show jumps and games obstacles. • Each team to consist of 6 riders, with at least 1 rider per team from each grade: Junior: 12 years and under Max jump height 55cm (mostly 45-50cm) Intermediate: 13 to 15 years Max jump height 70cm Senior: 16 to 25 years Max jump height 85cm • Riders may ride up an age group (but not down) to form a team. • Any riders not in a team are encouraged to ride as draft riders to form combination teams (teams will be allocated once entries are in) • Lead rein class open to all those not ready for Junior class - individuals only (not to count for team score)

Junior riders are not to be on lead rein, but may have a helper running with them. Back Protectors, Long Sleeve Tops and Approved Safety Helmets must be worn. Each Team must provide 2 Jump or Game Judges (Bring a stop watch and a pencil please) No dogs! This is a working farm please leave your dogs at home - no exceptions. Waerenga Pony Club and Landowner disclaim all liability in the event of accidents to competitors, spectators or property.
