Or enjoy delicious tapas on an evening, dine in Eat17, take in a drink or two in the beer garden of The Village and The Queens Arms, or take in the farmers market on a Saturday. Then theres the award winning Spar, where you can get freshly baked bread and cakes. Wingfield Park is the perfect distance to take the kids on a Saturday morning to let off some steam. Or for more adventure we take a ten minute stroll up to Hollow Ponds. For culture the William Morris Gallery is about a twenty minute walk away, and it is worth checking out the caf there too. Followed by a stroll in Lloyd Park itself it always makes for a nice day out. Relatively new to the area is the Wild Card Brewery. A welcome addition to the area, it sells locally produced beer, set in an industrial site, and it is quite amazing. Right next door is the now famous Gods Own Junkyard. A perfect place to impress visitors! And you can always check out Mothers Ruin, a Gin Palace like no other that offers such fun as Gingo yes, gin and bingo! Further afield you can explore much more of the beautiful Epping Forest and Lea Valley. Connaught Water, Queen Elizabeths Hunting Lodge and High Beech are all within easy reach. But most importantly, Barclay Road is a wonderful place to call home. We have got to know our neighbours beyond borrowing a cup of sugar or feeding each others cats. There is a real community here.
