Tom Quish joins Property Management Staff It’s taken several months, but finally the empty desk in Property Management is occupied. Tom Quish brings his background as a mortgage specialist to the department where his duties include inspecting properties to complete disclosure packets, neighborhood inspections and mailbox compliance follow ups. He will be working 28 hours a week – Tuesday through Friday. Quish began his career as a journey Tom Quish press operator in his home state of Connecticut. He moved to Virginia in 1983 and started work as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Virginia Impression Products. He says his co-workers were quite impressed that he lived in Brandermill. In 2007 Quish began his career in the mortgage industry working for MetLife and Wells Fargo. After leaving Wells Fargo, “I started painting every room in the house,” says Tom. “It was driving me nuts not to work. I knew I wasn’t done.” He had an occasion to speak with Lloyd Johnson, another part-time member of the Property Management department and when he heard there was a part-time opening, he applied for the position. He and his wife Sylvia Kraemer, who goes by “Sly”, live in The Oaks. His son Sean lives in Richmond, and daughter Jessica lives in Midlothian with her husband and two children, 3-year-old Braxton and 8-month-old Daphne. Tom likes having the grandchildren living close by and looks forward to the weekends when they come to stay on Friday nights and when their parents come for Saturday morning breakfast gatherings. Quish joins Senior Specialist Jennifer Berryman, Specialist Lloyd Johnson, Director Al Raimo, and Bobbi Glenn who provides support to the department.
