Knit Lace Wrap From the book More Lovely Knitted Lace by Brooke Nico Taught by Rebecca Baker (425) 351-9709 This is a challenging lace pattern, mostly because it is worked in lace weight yarn. If you’d like to start with a thicker, sport weight yarn to get comfortable with the pattern, that would be fine! Smooth yarn in a lace weight OR a sport weight – If you wish to use the lace weight (size zero), you’ll be knitting holding two strands together, You’ll need at least 2 skeins at least 330 yards. If you’d rather start with a sport weight, you’ll use just one strand. Your yardage will vary with your gauge, so plan on having at least 500 yards or more if you want to make the entire wrap with the larger yarn. Knitting needles (straight or circular): For the lace weight, size 4mm and size 3.5 (or two sizes smaller) For the sport weight, size 6.5 mm and size 6mm (or two sizes smaller) Yarn or Tapestry needle Pair of scissors Pencil Post it notes -optional Eight buttons, ½” diameter (these can be purchased towards the end of your project) More Lovely Knitted Lace by Brooke Nico
