Simply sew a few strips together, trim and sew into pinwheels. Each month we will make a new table runner. You will learn to make Hunter Stars using a unique method that you will love. You will be able to apply this method to any size Hunter Stars.

This designer has created a new way to stabilize the bottom of the bag.
Beginning Hand Appliqué October 14 & 28 10:00 am to 1:00 pm $30 plus cost of pattern Teacher: Gail Ransdall Join the hand appliqué craze! Gail will show you several methods of hand appliqué from freezer paper to the starch method. This will be a hands-on class that will cover all the basics of materials and stitches.

Oct. 19 and Nov. 16 10:00 am to 2:00 pm $25.00 This tree skirt is simple but elegant. Quilt the sections before putting it all together, add rick rack and holly leaves and you are done.

Christmas Celebration Tree Skirt October 22 & 23 10:00 am to 4:00 pm & Noon to 4:00 pm $50.00 Teacher: Colleen Caulfield Here is your chance to learn just how simple quilts designed by Judy Niemeyer can be with a few techniques and lots of organization. The Christmas Tree celebration Tree Skirt is a perfect design to begin with – while smaller than a quilt, the skirt features floating spikes, floating flying geese, curved piecing, strip piecing, traditional piecing and template layout sheets. Beginning Machine Embroidery October 26 and November 2 10:00 am to 4:30 pm $60 Teacher: Phyllis Van Etten This is a two day class for beginning machine embroiderers. You must have a Bernina machine capable of embroidery. The first morning you will learn about threads, stabilizers, hooping and various techniques and “tricks of the trade.” That afternoon will be devoted to learning to use the free embroidery program ArtLink from Bernina. You will need to bring your laptop. The second day we will spend all day practicing techniques and doing various types of embroidery.

Groups and Clubs “Hoopin‟ It Up” Machine Embroidery Club Meets the 3rd Friday of each month 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Teacher: Phyllis Van Etten $20.00 plus kit/design If you have an embroidery machine and enjoy getting together with “the girls” to embroider, this is the group for you. We learn new techniques and take home a completed project each month. You will need to bring your own threads, embroidery machine &/or module, hoops, whatever means you need to transfer the design to your machine, & basic sewing supplies.
Software Society 2nd Saturday of the month 9:30 am – 12:30 pm $20.00 Teacher: Brenda Sheppard If you have Bernina Editor Plus V6 or Designer Plus Software V6, you will probably want to join our Bernina Software Club. We will all learn together while having a great time. If you are thinking about whether you might want to purchase the software we can “buddy” you up with another member so you can try it out. Bring your software and laptop to class. Lovers of Wool Sit „n Stitch Meets each 2nd Sunday of the Month 12:00 to 3:00 Coordinator: Pam Sorenson Work on your own project and learn from each other. The idea is to enjoy each other and learn more about wool projects, techniques, and supplies. Be prepared to experience the passion so many of us have for wool.
