  Wool  applique’  is  a  technique  that  dates  back  to  the  16th  century.    It  is  currently   enjoying  a  resurgence  in  popularity  within  the  global  quilting  community.    In  this   class  will  learn  the  basics  of  wool  applique’:   • Multiple  ways  to  trace  designs.   • Accurate  cutting  of  wool  pieces.   • Thread  options   • Stitching  techniques   • Embellishments   • Finishing  options   We’re  celebrating  Alaska’s  State  Flower  the  Forget-­‐Me-­‐Not  and  the  State  Flag!    The   possibilities  with  wool  applique  are  endless!         Skill  level:    Beginner       Equipment   Embroidery  Hoop,  5  or  6  inch   Small,  very  sharp  scissors   Fabric  scissors   Embroidery  Needles,  pkg  of  assorted  sizes     Pattern  &  Supplies   A  project  kit,  that  includes  the  pattern,  will  be  available  at  the  beginning  of  class  and   is  to  be  purchased  from  the  instructor  for  $35.00.
