BETHLEHEM STEELERS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION Welcome to the 2015 Bethlehem Steelers! The first day of practice will be Monday August 3, 2015. You will receive notice of a parents meeting prior to the start of the season. Please arrive at the field on 08/01/15 at 5:45 PM, with your child dressed in appropriate attire and a water bottle for hydration. Explanation of Commitment: We commend you for encouraging your child to participate in youth sports. This is a great opportunity to further develop the character of your child. Both football and cheerleading are enjoyable sports for many children, which also require much dedication and commitment. In order for a child to have a successful experience, this commitment must be shared and supported by parents and/or guardians. To support your child, please ensure that practices and games/competitions are attended as instructed by your team’s assigned coaches. Please read below and refer to the Parent Code of Conduct for ways to contribute to a positive and successful experience. Communications: The Bethlehem Steelers use a system called ‘Blackboard Connect” to communicate with parents throughout the year. Blackboard Connect is a system which will be used to either send an email or phone message (depending on the information and urgency). In case of inclement weather and practice cancellation, you will receive a phone message via the system. Please be advised, since practices are extremely important, coaches will usually wait until late in the day to decide to cancel their practice, so cancellation may not be advised until close to 6:00 PM. Contact information will be obtained at registration and can be revised at any time throughout the season by visiting the field house. Website: Please check our website at www.bethlehemsteelers.org throughout the season for important information and updates.
