Biltmore bloom report For vacation planning throughout Biltmore Blooms, stay up to date about what’s currently flowering in Biltmore’s gardens with weekly bloom reports from Parker Andes, the estate’s director of horticulture, at Biltmore.com/bloomreport. Floral displays within Biltmore House New for 2017, the estate’s expert floral designers who decorate Biltmore House every spring have taken inspiration from the estate’s special costume exhibition, “Designed for Drama: Fashion from the Classics” in this year’s design theme, “Celebration Flowers.” The fantastical settings found in many of the featured books and corresponding films from the exhibition have been interpreted by the estate’s floral designers in grand floral arrangements that create feelings of fantasy, whimsy, romance and fun. Inside Biltmore House, fresh flowers are replaced each week, blooming potted plants every two weeks, green potted plants every four weeks. Each display is inspected and groomed every weekday morning. Watering takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning. Two employees care for displays Saturday mornings to touch up where needed and ensure everything looks beautiful, fresh, creative and interesting!
