INTRODUCTION In October 2009, Waterloo City Council approved the Waterloo Park Master Plan The Council approved Waterloo Park Master Plan proposed a new festival heart to be implemented in 2019/2020 (location shown on map to the left); The Festival Area responds to the following: • Intensifying urban context
• Related pressures around the park • Renewing aged sites/venues • Addressing evolving park trends • Integrating new expressed needs & interests of the community for the park
The City of Waterloo is undertaking a process to determine possible opportunities to re-locate two existing baseball diamonds from Waterloo Park to other locations in the City.
