2017 Equality Conference Wednesday 17 May, 2017 10am to 4pm UNISON Centre, 130 Euston Road London, NW1 2AY
A one day conference with invited guest speakers who will provide insight and guidance on anti discrimination legislation and case law. Hope not Hate and Inclusive Employers will be our guest workshop facilitators. Hope not Hate will focus on tackling hate in our communities and workplaces whilst Inclusive Employers will look at ‘Everyday inclusion—bias and behaviour’. All delegates will get the opportunity to attend both workshops during the day. Invited speakers are : Margaret Greer, UNISON National Black Members Officer Spencer Keen, Barrister Old Square Chambers, on Disability Discrimination and Recent Legislation (confirmed) UNISON campaigns to raise awareness of and to progress equality in our branches, workplaces and society. The regional Equality Conference will give you and your branch the tools and resources to raise awareness and to meet these challenges.
