Board Members Present: Members: Chairman Danny Dunbar, Chris Branaman, Allen Mohler and Ben Lawson. Also present Boone County Resource Conservationist Brian Daggy and District Administrator Sheryl Vaughn, District Conservationist Angie Garrison, District Support Specialist Geneva Tyler with ISDA, Resource Conservationist George Reger with ISDA, Curt Emanuel, Purdue Extension, and Resource Conservationist Trisha McClain with the Clinton County SWCD. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Danny Dunbar at 7:40am. I. Approval of Minutes and Treasurers Report. Ben Lawson made the motion to approve the April 2017 minutes and the June 2017 treasurers report. Allen Mohler seconded. Motion carried. II. Approval of Bills. 1. Brian Daggy – BCSWCD Resource Conservationist Work Report filed with minutes. CRP paperwork is finished. Donate cover crop seed for the Lebanon Urban farming project. Pay the invoice from NRG out of the demo plot account. 2. Sheryl Vaughn – BCSWCD District Administrator Work Report filed with minutes. Sheryl has been working with Northside trailers on the soil mobile. Hamilton County will need to sign the paperwork to purchase the trailer since they are lead district with the CWI grant. Sheryl will call Indy pro graphics to find out if the wrap would be better applied to a smooth skin trailer or not. Angie Garrison, District Conservationist, NRCS There were a total of 12 contracts approved in an executive session. Chris Branaman made a motion to approve the 12 federal contracts. Allen Mohler seconded the motion. The motion carried and all required signatures were received. Curt Emanuel, Purdue Extension Pesticide training will be held on June 29th. The agenda is in the works. September 5th will be small farms, cover crop workshop. George Reger, RC, ISDA George is staying busy out in the field. There have been a few drainage issues to deal with. Geneva Tyler, DSS, ISDA She is working on the 2017 supervisor summit. There will be one held in the north on August 17th in Rochester and one in the south with the location to be announced. More information will be sent out. Trisha McClain, Clinton County Trisha gave each supervisor and staff a copy of what was submitted to IDEM for the Sugar Creek Project. This has been forwarded on to the EPA, waiting for approval. Sheryl has a copy of this on a CD Disc. The NOI was also submitted to IDEM. Chelsea Cunningham is our IDEM representative for this project. We will need to send a letter of support. A letter was sent out to the stakeholders to let them know what is taking place. Also a willingness survey was sent out. 5 hard copies of the watershed plan will be purchased to place in the libraries within the watershed. IV. New Business 1. 2017 County Fair – Sheryl has sent in the paperwork and check. She will send the work schedule out to the supervisors and will work on the game wheel to update. 2. 2017 Spring Tillage Transect – We completed the transect on June 15th. Sheryl sent the spreadsheet to Geneva Tyler, ISDA. V. Old Business
