Board Members Present: Members: Chairman Danny Dunbar, Allen Mohler, Chris Branaman, Ben Lawson and Vice Chairman Kathy Clawson. Also present Boone County Resource Conservationist Brian Daggy and District Administrator Sheryl Vaughn, District Conservationist Angie Garrison, Resource Conservationist George Reger, ISDA, Curt Emanuel, Purdue Extension and Rob Lawson, Area Conservationist, NRCS. The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Kathy Clawson at 5:05 PM. I. Approval of Minutes and Treasurers Report. Allen Mohler made the motion to approve the February 2017 minutes and the March 2017 treasurers report. Ben Lawson seconded. Motion carried. II. Approval of Bills. III. Staff Reports. 1. Brian Daggy – BCSWCD Resource Conservationist The Cover Crop Field day will be held on March 30th in the Annex Building at the fairgrounds. RCPP Grant Application. This will not be submitted this year. Maybe next year.
2. Sheryl Vaughn – BCSWCD District Administrator Report filed with minutes Angie Garrison, District Conservationisnt,NRCS EQIP and CSP Applications accepted. The CRP contract needs to be signed by Danny Dunbar. Sheryl asked how many I&E’s for Boone County and Angie said there will be 22-24 I&E’s that need to be done. Curt Emanuel, Purdue Extension Curt would possibly like to hold a pesticide PARP credit workshop at the Demo Plot with corn growing sometime in June. IV. New Business 1. A motion was made by Danny Dunbar to purchase a sprayer from Bane/Welker Equipment to use on the demo plots. The motion was seconded by Chris Branaman. The motion carried. Sheryl will get a check to them. 2. Sheryl will pick up trees from the state forestry on April 3rd. She may also be picking up Hendricks Counties order. V. Old Business. VI. Adjournment.
