Vision The vision of the Prism Award is to honour and celebrate the impact of the coaching experience on organizations in our community. Description In 2005, ICF Global adopted the Prism Award, a concept developed by the ICF Greater Toronto Chapter, which recognizes organizations that demonstrate the effectiveness of professional coaching on many fronts. This award has become the epitome of what professional coaching can accomplish at the organizational level. The coaching initiative should have impacted individual coachees and/or the nominated organization in a clearly observable way. The areas impacted by coaching may include, but are not be limited to, the following: • Hi-‐potential employee development • Leadership development • Change management initiatives • Team/group effectiveness • Customer service improvements • Problem solving capabilities • Communication/feedback skills • Employee health and wellness • Employee engagement • Employee work/life balance Nomination Timeline Page 1 of 5
Nomination Information Brochure ICF Vancouver is excited to announce the opening of nominations for the 2014 Prism Award. The deadline for 2014 ICF Vancouver Prism Award nominations is 5 p.m. Pacific, Friday, March 14, 2014. All nominations must be submitted using the nomination form available at 2014 Prism Award and emailed to
[email protected]. Notification of Status All nominators will receive confirmation of receipt of their application. Only complete nominations will be forwarded to the judges. Nominees who are shortlisted as finalists will be notified by April 2nd. The Award recipient will be announced live at the Coaching Impact Awards event being held in May 22, 2014. Benefit to Nominees

private, non-‐profit, and government sectors to celebrate and share their coaching successes with other individuals and organizations throughout the coaching and greater community. Award nominees are recognized as organizations that use coaching to develop their leaders and improve bottom-‐line results. Award finalists participate in the Coaching Award ceremony where the recipient will be announced. The Prism Award recipient will receive a personalized award commemorating their achievement. The Coaching Organization will receive a personalized award commemorating their achievement. The Prism award recipient will be featured in ICF Vancouver communications, promotions and presentations.

Nomination Information Brochure • The Prism award recipient and the Coaching Organization are granted permission to use the ICF Prism logo for one full year following receipt of their award. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for the ICF Vancouver Prism Award, nominees must meet the following criteria: •
The organization must be nominated by an internal or external coach who is an ICF credentialed member in good standing as specified by the ICF bylaws, has participated in the coaching initiative, and is a member of the ICF Vancouver Chapter.

The organization or division of the organization being nominated must be located in the province of British Columbia.
•
Organizations may be nominated once.
•
ICF Vancouver Chapter coaches may submit one nomination.
•
Senior leaders within the organization must be sponsors for the coaching initiative and remain active champions for sustaining the coaching initiative.
•
The organization must have started implementation of the coaching initiative before July 1, 2013.
•
During the nominations and judging review process, the nominee, lead coach, coaching sponsor or suitable designee must be available to provide additional, clarifying information about the coaching initiative.
•
Each nomination submission must include a release signed by the organization agreeing to public disclosure of a description of the coaching engagement.
•
Award recipients (organizations) must wait 1 year before submitting a nomination for a new initiative. So both organization as well as coaching organization.
•
ICF Vancouver Chapter Board of Directors, judging panel members, and the Coaching Awards Events Committee are not eligible to apply for the Prism Award.

Organization Privacy Release The organization must agree to their story being shared publicly at the awards event or in other ICF Vancouver communications. Organizations must sign a release. Nominations All nomination submissions received by the deadline will be reviewed for completeness and eligibility; only eligible and complete submissions will be sent to the judging panel. Coaches from a broad range of specialities are encouraged to submit nominations. The nomination form includes: Demographics Detailed evaluative criteria including a snapshot of the coaching initiative and a description of the coaching engagement in relation to impact on the client in each of the ICF Selection Guideline categories below A release signed by the organization The Judging Process The judging panel will review the nominations anonymously using the following ICF Selection Guidelines: 1. Standards: How the coaching initiative was developed in a way that would highlight a commitment to rigorous professional standards, industry excellence or best practices for coaching in this niche. Nomination Information Brochure 2. Strategy: How goals, priorities or need are being addressed through the coaching initiative. 3. Sustainability: How coaching has become embedded as a support for ongoing success or identify any plans to develop or expand the coaching initiative further. 4. Impact: Observable and measurable details that underscore the value, influence or effectiveness of the coaching initiative. The description of the coaching engagement must clearly demonstrate coaching excellence and have a significant, sustainable and desired benefit or outcome as defined by the organization. Finalists and Award Recipient Up to three nominees may be selected as finalists and will be notified ahead of the awards event of their finalist status.
