Public Board Meeting Minutes
Attendance:
BBA Board: Brad Ingram, Jay Rassat, Phil Giddings, Dan Shefland, Jesse Soeffker, Kevin Brisk, Stacey Braun, Rebecca Smith, Jeremy Gatz, Mark West Public: Amanda Psyk, Cris Soeffker
1. Approval of last meeting minutes a. Jesse approved meeting minutes from previous month, second by Jay ‐ Passed 2. Financial Report (Phil) a. Kevin will review transactions moving forward as a double check to Phil’s entries and accuracy b. Current balance as of 9/30/14 = $ 17,017.66 c. Jay would like to review reports and get one report that quickbooks puts out that is simple and easy to read. Ability to compare against previous years and budget for the season. Jay may look into having report exported into excel to make report easier to read for all. d. I’ve attached the various reports that Phil provided. 3. Update from the City (Jesse) a. City will be taking down various net(s) for batting cages as well as dougouts. They will mark the dougouts with the field # to make this easier for installation in the spring b. Call Todd Lunning with the Community Ed if we need to store anything on 2nd floor of concession stands. Note we will not be giving a key to this area. c. City is obtaining quotes for moving existing score board from Varsity field to field #7 as well as installation of new score board on Varsity field. The City personel are too busy to do this work themselves. Jesse to work with Lee regarding the wiring to home plate area for controller of relocated scoreboard on field #7 d. City is shutting off the Water for the winter season e. City will store the UTV, so we can get this out for service in March. 4. Player & coach development (Brad) a. There will be a meeting with Solid Foundation this Thursday if anyone is interested in joining to discuss player and coaching development b. Jay stated we should set up a sub‐committee to gather this information and bring information back to the board to discuss best options that we feel is good for 1 | P a g e

development of the kids. Darren, Jay, Mark, Jesse & Brad would like to be on that committee. First Annual MYAS Fall Championship review (Brad) a. Went very well. MYAS wanted to add 14’s to the tournament for next year. A special thank you to the families that came out and helped without need to fulfill any volunteer ours. There was a pretty good outcome on concessions as well approx. $3,000 (Stacey). Jay will find out what value is coming from MYAS as well as $10/hr reimbursement for the medic. Discuss volunteer checks from 2014 season (Brad) a. The checks of parents that didn’t fulfill their volunteer commitment will be cashed this week. Open Items a. Cris Soeffker will run the fundraising committee again for 2015. Close Meeting a. Brad moved to close the meeting, 2nd by Mark West – Passed. b. Next meeting 11/16 @ 7pm
