ANNOUNCEMENTS This coming week Debbie will be on vacation. Scarlett Gafford and Martha Morrow have graciously agreed to cover the office during her absence. The office will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. and will be closed on Friday. We will resume our regular schedule the week of October 30th. This Wednesday, October 26th, the children’s division will hold their annual costume parade and trunk or treat. The Costume parade will begin at 5:30 and Trunk or Treat will follow at 6:00 p.m. Due to these activities, we will begin serving supper at 5:00 p.m. so everyone can participate in these activities. Volunteers are needed with cars and we are still accepting candy donation. Come one come all for this exciting program. Note cards with beautiful picture of church now on sale by UMW for $6. There are 6 in a pack. See Barbara Lott (at the organ after worship) or Scarlett Gafford. UMW Rada Sale - UMW is taking orders for Rada Cutlery. See Scarlett Gafford or Linda Struck to place your order. The sale ends November 1. The family of Doyle Bradshaw would like to invite you to join them for a reception honoring Doyle Bradshaw on her 90th birthday. Charge Conference 2016 for Columbia First United Methodist Church will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 6:30-7:30 P.M. in the Wesley Center. This date and time is confirmed with the Brookhaven District Office, which is a change from the previously mentioned date and time. Rev. Heather Hensarling, our Brookhaven District Superintendent, will guide us through this time of celebrating our missions and ministries which will give foundation for our 2017 ministries and missions. Our time of reflecting and visioning will put in context how we aspire to go deeper in our relationship with God and reach further in our love and service with our neighbors. Members of the Administrative Board are urged to be present, and all members and friends of First Church are invited to attend and share in this experience of Loving, Learning and Leading through the gift we call First United Methodist Church!
