MRBC MINISTRIES Ridge Kids: Christmas choir rehearsals will be held on Wednesdays from 3:45pm - 5:00pm, starting October 26th. Young Adults: Thursdays at 7:00pm in the Warehouse, our Young Adults ministry meets for a time of worship, fellowship and Bible study. If you are over 18 and consider yourself a young adult, we’d love to see you there! Widows’ Bible Study/Support Group: There is a new Bible study starting for widows - meetings will be held on the first Saturday of each month. Childcare is provided at no charge. The next meeting will be held on Saturday November 5th from 10:00am-11:30am. It will be a time of sharing, prayer, and Bible study - a time of encouragement no matter how long or short they've been a widow. It's a time to sit down over a cup of coffee or tea with other ladies who get what they're going through, and know they're not alone. This group is open to any young widow, 60 and under, even if they don't attend our church. Please contact Evelyn Rempel at 604-783-0374 or via email at [email protected]. Seniors’ Lunch: The next Seniors’ Luncheon is our Christmas event - it will be held on Friday, December 2nd at noon. Petals - Now that colder weather is upon us, we are gladly accepting donations of warm blankets, sleeping bags and winter coats. These items are greatly appreciated by our Petals ladies. Refugee Sponsorship Update: We are now actively collecting smaller household items and sourcing larger items to furnish the homes of our two refugee families. New or gently used items for all rooms of the house including the pantry are needed. Please call or text Lori Robinson at 604-317-9054 if you would like to help and/or have storage for some of the larger items of furniture. For a list of items needed, email Lori at [email protected].
MRBC MINISTRIES Fall Business Meeting: Please join us on Sunday, November 6th, immediately following the service, for our Fall Business Meeting. There will be Ministry Updates, Financial Updates and the MRBC Board will offer an update also. Theological Foundations: Pastor Justin will lead us through an overview of Christian Theology. Our next meeting will be held on Sunday, October 30th after the service, from 1:00pm - 2:00pm (Warehouse). Operation Christmas Child: Impact: A 12 year old boy in Madagascar had a desperate need for a watch so he could write his first official school exam. Inside his shoebox he found the perfect watch. What a deal! Boxes to go! If you are too busy or it’s inconvenient for you to pack a box, our MRBC OCC Packing Team will pack the box for you and you pay for the shipping fee of $7/ box!
