Land of Whimzie® Woodland Friends Fabrics: 1 Tossed Animals Flannel Fat Quarter (18" x 21") 1 Mint Arrows Flannel Fat Quarter (18" x 21") 1- Large snap (size 4) Coordinating thread Clear tape Scissors Basic sewing supplies Sewing machine Iron and pressing surface
Instructions Read all instructions before beginning project. Do not prewash fabrics. Before cutting, press with a dry iron on cotton setting. Use a ¼" seam allowance and sew fabrics with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise noted. Print both Pattern pieces. Note: When printing, check that page size is set to actual size and compare printout with Pattern measurements.

1. Cut out Patterns on outside lines. Overlap straight edges ¼" so lines match and tape together (Dia. A). Note: Pattern size is 10 ½" x 11 ½" and includes a ¼" seam allowance.

2. Fold one Fat Quarter in half RST to measure 11" x 18". Place pattern on the fabric fold as shown and pin in place (Dia. B). Cut around the pattern piece except for the fold. Transfer opening markings to fabric. Repeat using the second Fat Quarter.

3. Open and place both pieces RST with outside edges aligned. Pin together and sew between dots, leaving a 4" opening to turn right side out (Dia. C). 4. Clip seam around curves, close to, but not into stitching.

5. Turn right side out and press flat. Topstitch close to edges closing opening as you sew (Dia. D).

6. Transfer snap placement markings as shown on Dia. D. Sew female side of snap at snap placement mark on Front of Burpie Bib. Note: Put bib on baby to check for correct placement of snaps and make new marks if needed. Sew male side of snap on Back at placement mark (Dia. D). 7. Place around baby’s neck and snap to use as bib or place flat over shoulder to use as burp cloth.
