Wine, Women & Shoes benefiting Treasure Coast Food Bank is an opportunity to sip, savor and shop. There will be fine wine, delicious food, a fashion show, and marketplace featuring must-have designer shoes and other merchandise. It’s all in support of Treasure Coast Food Bank’s efforts to alleviate hunger in Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, and Okeechobee counties. “We’re excited to bring Wine, Women and Shoes for the first time to South Florida. We know women in Vero Beach and throughout the area will want to join us for this fun and fabulous evening that will benefit the programs of Treasure Coast Food Bank,” said Tricia Jenkins, Treasure Coast Food Bank Vice President of Development. “We’ve got some great sponsors supporting us, and we’re excited to have Sara Labellarte as our event chair.”

Women & Shoes, slated for March 16, 2013, at Corporate Air, Inc. Helping to secure selections that Vero Beach will love is Robert Wayne of Crown Wine and Spirits, the wine retail partner for the event.
“They’re a big Burgundian family from France that moved into California,” Wayne shared. “They do a wonderful sparkling wine that they bring in from France. Boisset is wonderful.” Wayne also is excited about wineries Amberhill and Justin, which will be coming to Vero Beach for the event. “At Amberhill, they do blends,” he said. “Their red is a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Shiraz. It just comes out so wonderful, and it’s absolutely delicious. “And Justin produces wonderful wines. I carry their Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s a self-sustained winery. They don’t use any pesticides, and they make some really delicious wines.” Wines are but one element of the luxury event, as each of the vintners will be paired with delicious bites from area restaurants, and area merchants will stock the marketplace. Already signed on are several jewelers – Monique Van Blitter, PK Collection by Susan Nappa, and Sirissima, featuring hand-crafted statement accessories. In addition, Diana E. Kelly Designs, Lisa Mackey, and Stella & Dot merchandise will be featured.
