Truth B-P Church Missions Trip to Cambodia (26 to 31 March 2014) Reported by Rev Dennis Kwok On 30th March 2014 (Lord’s Day), True Faith BPC had 2 worship services. The first was the usual morning Worship Service at 9am and the other one was the special Anniversary Service at 4.30pm. That morning, we saw the water baptism of Saron’s sister, They Chann, who is also a new student in True Gospel Bible School. The Lord’s Supper was administered after the sacrament of water baptism. I spoke on the theme “Giving God Our Sacrifice” (Rom 12:1-2) highlighting 3 main points on how we must give our body to God as a living, holy and transformed sacrifice. In the afternoon, we celebrated the 2nd Anniversary of True Faith B-P Church. We thank God for using Pr Liv Rotha and his family to minister to the Khmer people in Kampot province. The children and the youths presented items of praise and thanksgiving. About 80 people attended the Anniversary. Many of them were neighbours and parents of the children who attended the Sunday school and the English classes. We thank God they had the opportunity to hear the gospel. I spoke from Psalm 100:5 on the goodness of God. May the gospel seed fall on good ground that will yield increase in due time. The Anniversary ended with a feast of seafood porridge which we all ate to our hearts’ content. Thank God for sustaining True Faith BPC for the past 2 years. I also conducted a Youth Seminar from Thursday to Saturday. 12 youths and 4 adults attended the Seminar. The theme was “Why do I need the Lord Jesus Christ?” based on John 14:6. We studied how Jesus must be our Way, Truth and Life through His 3 offices: Prophet,

Priest and King, in one person. To my surprise, the youths actually requested for an exam. And so, on the last day, I gave them an exam and all of them did well. I thank God for their zeal and eagerness to learn from God’s Word. On Saturday morning, I met with our three Cambodian preachers for two hours to encourage them in their ministry. It was like a mini-missionary conference. I encouraged them from Amos 3:3 (“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”) to describe the relationship between the supporting church and the missionaries in the missions field. We dealt with many aspects of the church ministry and how we must walk in the same direction by faith in Jesus Christ. It was a blessed time of learning and we pray that we will have more of such sessions to keep us focused in the gospel ministry. Both True Gospel and True Faith BPCs have recently started new outreaches. True Gospel BPC conducted evening English classes at a village called Pum Krang from Mondays to Fridays, and a children’s Sunday school on Sunday afternoons. About 13 children attend. For True Faith BPC, they started a Sunday school for the children at a village called Kampong Kreng every Sunday afternoon. About 10 children attend. Both villages are about 15 minutes way from their respective churches. We thank God for the open doors. May God bless the preachers’ labour of love. And may they be faithful in proclaiming the gospel to the saving of souls in these last days. True Gospel Outreach to Children at Pum Krang My next trip, God willing, will be in August 2014. I shall be ministering at the Youth Camp (organized by our 3 missions churches) in Sihanoukville. Do pray, and join me too if you can. Look out for the details that will be released soon.
