Introduction Thank you for deciding to enrol on an ECB Coach Education course. Maintaining a strong, vibrant grassroots structure is vital to the future of cricket and the development and retention of players at all levels of the game. Coaches, support workers and activators all play a role in creating an environment that ensures players are enthused, inspired, motivated and are able to develop as cricketers, in line with their aspirations and potential. This Coach Education Programme and Application Form will provide you with details of all the Community Coach Education courses running across your county, along with details of how to sign up and book your place. For those people taking a UKCC Level 2 qualification or above, there is also an application form that enables you to join ECB Coaches Association and access exclusive member benefits that will help inspire your players and maximise their performance. About the ECB CA As an ECB Level 2 (equivalent or above) coach, you have the opportunity to become a member of the ECB Coaches Association. The purpose of the ECB CA is to inspire participation and maximise performance of cricket coaches and players. It’s run by cricket coaches and volunteers up and down the country to ensure all coaches, at all levels of the game, right from the England team downwards, have somewhere to turn, to get the on-going support all coaches need, in order to be the best they can be.

Local CA County Support Every County has a vibrant network of like-minded coaches who can provide you with support and ideas. Spend time talking and learning with other coaches within your county. Your local CA keeps you up to date with regular communications and a calendar of local events. Insurance – Peace of mind while you coach Purchasing personal insurance can be very expensive and tiresome. The CA provides you with Insurance and enables you to concentrate on developing your new skills. Public Liability – The members’ legal liability for injury to third parties and/or damage to third party property £5,000,000 - limit of indemnity. Employer’s Liability – The members legal liability for injury to helpers in coaching sessions - £10,000,000 - limit of indemnity.
