Conditions of Entry: 1. Each month’s competition must be entered separately. 2. Entries should be made on-line at www.equestrianentries.co.nz. You will receive an emailed response giving your entry details, fees owing and bank a/c no. for internet banking or you can pay by cheque. Entry Fees must be received by the closing date. No payment no ride policy is adhered to. 3. Canterbury Dressage bank account for online entries: 02 0820 0359529 00. 4. A maximum of three tests per day if one horse/pony. If more than one horse/pony, a maximum of two tests per day per horse/pony. 5. In order for the day to run smoothly, the afternoon classes may be altered slightly to fill any scratchings and changes to the draw will be displayed in the office window late morning. 6. For appointing a task for the day on-line, please use the “yarding/special requests’ area. Failure to show up for your nominated task may result in future refusal of entry. If riding more than one horse, you cannot choose the ‘writing for a judge’ option, therefore please provide a substitute writer or choose an alternative task. 7. These shows are part of the Canterbury Dressage Hi-Points Series. 8. The Rangiora Equestrian Supplies Young Riders Series will include the June and July dates and our three competitions on 7 August, 4 September and 2 October (The competition on 30 October Level 1 and 2 will count for the Canterbury Dressage/Canterbury A&P Show Series – See condition 10 below) The winner of each level series will receive a $40 voucher, second place getters a $20 Voucher, third place getters a $15 Voucher and the overall person with the highest average percentage over a minimum of three competition days will receive a cotton show rug with all prizes kindly supplied by Rangiora Equestrian Supplies. The classes are open to registered and non-registered horses/ponies. All riders must be under 17 years of age as of 1 August 2016. Points will be awarded 1st – 10th - 1st place 10 points down to 10th place getting 1 point. Prize giving will be on 2 October. 9. The Prydes Easifeed YDH Series is a competition run in conjunction with the Canterbury A&P Show on 9 Nov 2016. Rider’s percentages from the two tests from Canterbury Dressage Competition on 6 Nov 2016 and one test from the Canterbury A&P Show are added together to determine the Champion and Reserve YDH in each age group. Champions of each age group will receive a rug and sash, Res. Champ a sash. Tests are as below: 7.1 Class 7: 4yr old Commanded Test (Round 1) EFA State Championship Test Class 8: 4yr old FEI Preliminary Test (Round 2) 7.2 Class 9: 5yr old Commanded Test (Round 1) EFA State & Australian Championship Test Class 10: 5yr old FEI Preliminary Test (Round 2) 7.3 Class 11: 6yr old Commanded Test (Round 1) EFA State & Australian Championship Test Class 12: 6yr old FEI Preliminary Test (Round 2) Flying changes will be optional /simple change 10. The Canterbury Dressage and A&P Show Level 1-3.
Champion and Reserve Champion sashes will be awarded to the top combined scores in Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 graded classes at the Canterbury A&P Show on 9 Nov 2016.
To be eligible, a combination of horse and rider must enter a minimum of one class in the same grade level at two events, those events being the Canterbury Dressage competition on 30 Nov and the Canterbury A&P show on Wednesday 9 November.
The top 3 scores will count with a minimum of 2 scores, one gained from each individual event.
The highest aggregate score is the winner. In the event of a tie, there will be a count back on the coefficients.
11. Registered horses may only compete in their current grade or above, or in a lower grade Hors Concour at the discretion of the Organising Committee (OC).
12. ESNZ Community Membership – Permits you to compete in non-registered (Training) classes only. Membership is free and you must register as a Community Member to enter this competition. Please refer to: http://www.nzequestrian.org.nz/esnz/join/join-now/coummunity-member/ 13. This event is being run under all current ESNZ rules for Dressage and ESNZ Rules and Regulations. 14. Prize money will only be paid out on scores of 57% or higher for all registered horses/ponies. Rosettes only for Training classes. Prize money will be paid by Direct Credit therefore competitors need to, at the time of entry, provide their bank account details under ‘rider details’. No bank account details, no prize money. 15. The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter, change, or delete any part of this schedule at any time with all due notice being given to concerned parties. 16. The draw will be available on-line at www.equestrianentries.co.nz. Equestrian Entries will provide the most up to date draw as this is live so please check the day before the competition. 17. Check the Canterbury Dressage Facebook page for up-to-date show information 18. Canterbury Dressage must pay a bond of $500 to use the grounds and this is only returned if the yards/stables grounds and facilities are left clean and tidy, please put all manure in muck heaps by the stables. 19. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. 20. Cancellations will be put on Facebook if we have to cancel the show. 21. Refund of entries will be refunded in full if scratched before the time of entry closing otherwise a refund will only be paid out on the receipt of a completed refund form as attached along with vet/medical certificate. A refund will be made less the administration fee and online entry fee. 22. Afternoon results and tests will not be posted until all arenas have been taken down and the hall and toilets are tidied. 23. There will be a prize giving at the conclusion of each day’s competition. 24. The Zip Plumbing Trophy (Ponies) and the Sunsfield Trophy (Horses) will awarded to the combination with the most points from classes 1-6 (Registered Ponies) and classes 19-33 (Registered Horses). The combination must be a Canterbury Dressage Group Member. Membership forms can be obtained from the Canterbury Dressage Website.
ASSISTANCE FROM CANTERBURY RIDERS Canterbury riders are required to nominate a task you can help with. If you are unable to assist yourself, you are asked to supply a substitute. In order for this competition to work we welcome your co-operation and support. Entries will be limited and accepted only with your appointed task. This will be strictly enforced this season. Please indicate a task when you are doing your online entry. By indicating your task it is your responsibility to carry it out.
