Using this section of Kudos Inspire helps you find out what you’re good at – information that you can use in: • your first CV • an application for a job or apprenticeship or • your application to university. The skills assessment 1. Log in to KUDOS using the new password you set in the last session 2. Select ‘My Skills’. There are 45 questions to answer.
3. For each skill, think about where you’ve used it – at school, work or at home – and whether you are good at it or not. 4. There will be some skills you don’t have – especially if you’ve never had a part-time job or done voluntary work. That’s OK – just rate yourself as ‘Unskilled’. Your results – your skills and careers 1. You’ll see a list of careers that suit your skills. The purple skill icon shows how well matched you are to the career based on your skill answers.
2. To see why a career has been suggested, click on it, then click on the ‘Suitable for you?’ tab. Scroll down to see a comment about how suitable the career is and why. Acknowledgement: Using Kudos Inspire to identify your skills
Careers Programme Introduction to KUDOS: SKILLS Your best skills overall 1. To see your best skills, click on the ‘About Me’ tab and then select ‘Review my skills’. 2. The list shows all the skills and your answers to them. 3. Your best skills will be highlighted in blue - ‘highly skilled’ and green - ‘skilled’.
4. You can change your answers here if you want to. You have no completed the “Likes and Dislikes” and “Skills” sections. If you click onto “Explore My Future” and List of suggested careers you can again compare jobs and then complete: ACTION PLAN 1: CHOOSING CAREERS
