Carer, As we approach the GCSE ...

27th February 2017 Dear Parent/Carer, As we approach the GCSE season, it is with great sadness that we must now prepare for your Year 11 child to leave Studley High School! We are planning a host of experiences for them to ensure that their last few moments with us are special. All Year 11 pupils are invited to purchase a ‘Year 11 hoodie’ which can include their name, details of all pupils in the year group and the school logo. They can choose from a range of colours (see below) and cost £16. Should you wish to purchase a hoodie, please complete the attached form and return to school. Details of the colours available have been emailed to all Year 11s. Secondly, pupils are invited to purchase a Year 11 Leavers book. This has been specially designed as will serve as a momentum of their time at Studley High School. It will include pictures of pupils throughout their school years, events they have taken part in, trips and messages from the staff that have had the pleasure of teaching them and seeing them develop into young adults. This will be priced at £20. Finally, the prom date has now been confirmed as Friday 7th July (venue and details to be confirmed closer to the time). The cost of a prom ticket will be approximately £40. This will also be confirmed nearer to the time. We understand that this will be an expensive time of year for parents. We have added all of the above onto ParentPay so that payment can begin now to spread the cost. Pupils eligible for pupil premium support can also contact the school to discuss reduced costs (half-price for both the Hoodies and Leavers book). Please contact us regarding hardship support if you are experiencing financial difficulties. Finally, in preparation for our Leaving Assembly later on in the year, I would appreciate if parents could send any pictures they have of their child throughout their time at Studley (uniform pictures from Year 7 would be great!).
