14th October 2015 Dear Parent/Carer GCSE Drama Theatre Visit As part of your son/daughters GCSE drama course they need to attend the theatre so they may write a review on a play and we have been offered the opportunity to see ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle on Thursday 22nd October at a discounted price. The cost of the ticket and transport is £21.00. Students will be transported to and from the theatre by coach. The show starts at 2.00pm so we will leave Kingsmeadow at 1.15pm and arrive back at Kingsmeadow at approximately 5.00pm5.15pm. If you would like your child to participate in the visit please complete the consent form below and return to reception by Tuesday 20th October with your payment. Please be advised that all personal belongings including money, cameras and any electrical items are not covered by the school’s insurance and are the responsibility of the individual students. We strongly recommend valuable items are left at home. Students should wear school uniform and will be in lessons before they go to the theatre. As the children are representing Kingsmeadow whilst out of school they will be expected to behave in an appropriate manner at all times.
