GCSE Dance Year 10 – Solo Composition Overview of Unit
This unit allows students to develop their own skills in choreography and performance skills, the piece must consist of motif development and be based upon a professional work chosen from the AQA specification. Students must then create a piece of choreography in the same style lasting 1.5 minutes as part of their coursework. WALT – Objectives Students learn to recognise and understand the importance of analysing professional works Students learn to recognise and understand how to develop motifs in their practical work Students learn to perform showing focus & presentation skills Students learn how to use choreographic devices in their work
