Step 1 — Bottom Panel
Flip the keyboard upside down so the bottom is angled towards you.
Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the twenty-seven 12 mm screws from the dark gray bottom panel.

Remove the bottom panel by lifting the bottom panel up and outward from yourself.
Step 4
Flip the entire keyboard so the keys face up, and be careful not to let the bottom drop.
Flip the top half of the keyboard and set onto the bottom half with the internal parts facing up.

Step 5 — Battery Connection
Plug in the soldering iron and set it somewhere safe where it can't catch anything on fire.
Unscrew the top green circuit board with black and red wires running into it.
Set the circuit board somewhere flat so it is safe to solder.

Heat up the solder covering the end of the wires connected to the circuit board. Once the solder melts, remove the wires from the circuit board.
Melt new solder with your soldering iron, then apply it over the tip of the wire touching the circuit board.

Once the wires are firmly attached screw the circuit board back onto the keyboard.
